Review by hotel critic
Nestled amongst picturesque pastures, Brae Mhor Cottage offers a delightful escape for families seeking tranquility and outdoor adventure. During our two-night stay, the cottage's layout proved ideal for our group of three adults. Each window framed peaceful scenes of sheep grazing and lush greenery—perfect for unwinding after our day hikes. While the weather didn’t permit us to enjoy the outdoor space, we made the most of our time inside. The fast Internet allowed for some much-needed connection as we planned our next expedition. Communication with the host was seamless, making our stay even more enjoyable. Just a tip: be certain to pack your own tea and coffee, as these essentials are not provided. The surrounding area boasts numerous activities, including Crannog Cruises, which caught our attention for its scenic boat rides and opportunities to spot seals basking in their natural habitat. For those craving a more active itinerary, Ben Nevis Distillery offers intriguing tours of its production area.
